Frühlings-beschwerden frühzeitig vorbeugen

Prevent springtime discomfort at an early stage

Prevent springtime discomfort at an early stage

The weather in spring is extremely changeable with large temperature differences. It is often humid, warm and windy - ideal climate for the development and transmission of pathogens such as bacteria and viruses. If our immune system is not strong enough, our body is more susceptible to various diseases.

According to Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), the external disease-causing factor (pathogen) in spring is wind. The wind is constantly moving and changing, carrying pathogens everywhere.

The following diseases often occur in spring:

Allergic diseases

Spring is an unpleasant season for allergy sufferers. The air is heavily polluted with pollen and fine dust. Supported by the often strong wind in spring, hay fever and allergic asthma are among the most common allergic diseases.

Diseases of the respiratory tract

Spring is a transitional period between winter and summer, a time when cold (yin) decreases and warmth (yang) increases. The weather is changeable and the difference in temperature is great. This is a great challenge for the immune system. Due to the weakened immune system, pathogens can easily enter the body and cause discomfort. Especially elderly people, children and sick people have to be careful. Often the result is a disease of the respiratory tract, a cold, bronchitis, sinusitis, bronchial asthma, etc.

Diseases of the digestive tract

As it becomes warmer, spring is the favorable time for infectious digestive diseases, such as acute gastritis and enteritis.

Mental complaints

Excessive liver function, which is often the case in spring, causes irritability, mood swings, difficulty concentrating and the famous springtime fatigue.

"The high art of a doctor is to treat a disease before it has even broken out," TCM teachings say. If there is enough positive energy (yang qi), the disease-causing factors cannot attack the body.
